Merchandisers have been talking about the latest training programme to make its debut on the Training Calendar - The Importance of Merchandising in the Retail World. So far approximately 40 individuals from Bryden Stokes and Trimart have beneffitted from this workshop. Participants spend the first half of the morning examining the discipline of Merchandising including Merchandising Techniques, Retail Psychology and latest developments in Merchandising. In the afternoon the group moves to one of the Trimart locations where they get the opportunity to apply the principles they've learned into practice.
Martin Newton, Manager for at Bryden Stokes was so impressed with the creativity shown by one of his team members after his session that he sat in on one of the sessions. He took a picture of one of the displays that was done at Jordan's supermarket.
We've also had reports that a themed display at Trimart Rendezvous created during one of the practical sessions saw the sell-out of Tosh biscuits for that week! We also heard through the grapevine that a merchandiser from 1 of our competitors was so intrigued when their visit coincided with one of the pratical sessions they enquired as to whether they could join the session!
